I am Meg Jelen, MA LMFT. I provide individual counseling and couples counseling to support and empower clients to improve their quality of life! I focus on the promotion of health and overall well-being. The decision to reach out for support can be difficult or even feel vulnerable. I have been described as warm, friendly, and approachable with an energetic optimism that many find uplifting and encouraging.

Rather than focus on pathology and illness, I see clients as resilient, faced with growth opportunities.

You have made it far in life, so I know you are already strong and skilled. Sometimes it can be difficult to see that part of ourselves; we might lose sight of our abilities or be blinded by the stressors we face. Or perhaps the skills and abilities that carried us through past challenges are not supporting us through our current circumstances. Through counseling or coaching we will work together to strengthen your internal resources, and develop strategies to elevate your skills.

Philosophy

My philosophy of care is holistic; I believe in whole person health. I combine evidence-based practices with a multi-dimensional approach to well-being. This philosophy is the foundation of my practice for both counseling and coaching.

Evidence-Based

Through clinical assessment I determine the specific need of each client. From there I apply evidence-based practices as recommended by leading counseling and coaching professional organizations: American Psychological Association, Mayo Clinic, and The National Wellness Institute.

Multi-Dimensional

At the core of my counseling and coaching practice is the understanding that each of us is complex with many parts, all important to our overall well-being. These dimensions include: emotional, physical, spiritual, social, cognitive, and occupational.
